Applications are now closed

An opportunity for Dunstan Horsefeeds and Fiber Fresh to give back to the equestrian community. All mounted lessons will be taken by a selection of the Dunstan & Fiber Fresh Sponsored Riders. There will also be mini seminars, games and activities during the camp put on by the Dunstan & Fiber Fresh Team.

5th & 6th October 2020
Venue: National Equestrian Centre, Taupo

Applicant Criteria:

  • Open to riders 7-18 years.
  • Riders must be capable of riding on their own and jumping a minimum of 60cm.
  • Thoroughbred Groups are open to riders on thoroughbreds wanting to aim towards Dunstan Beyond the Barriers in November. You may be older than 18 however preference will be given to Young Riders.
  • All riders must supply their own mount. One horse per rider.
  • Riders will be selected by a panel of Dunstan and Fiber Fresh Sponsored Riders. Limited Spaces.
  • Selected applicants will be asked to cover the costs of staying at the National Equestrian Centre. All costs associated with the camp will be covered by Dunstan Nutrition Ltd & Fiber Fresh Limited Partnership.
 

Terms & Conditions

  • Riders must be 18 years or younger as at the 5thOctober 2020. With the exception of those entering the Dunstan Beyond the Barriers section of the camp, in which young riders will be given preference.
  • Riders must attend the full camp over the two days on the 5th and 6th of October.
  • Riders will be required to stay on the grounds at the National Equestrian Centre for the duration of the camp and participate in scheduled lessons and evening entertainment.
  • All riders are required to have a parent or guardian accompany them.

Healthy & Safety

Dunstan Nutrition Ltd and Fiber Fresh Limited Partnership is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy event for all competitors and volunteers for the duration of this event.

The Plan aims to comply with Health and Safety regulations and to provide the training and supervision needed to achieve this.

We will take responsibility of H & S procedures, however ALL PEOPLE ON THIS SITE need to be aware of their responsibilities and comply with the event & NEC health & safety policy.

Riders Volunteers & Spectators – please be aware that part of the NEC is a construction site – you must be aware of all vehicle movements and obey all signage and stay clear of all fenced areas.

We will take all practicable steps to provide a safe event using safe equipment and proper materials and comply with all H.& S. legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Attendees: Will be responsible for themselves at ALL times by observing safe practices and rules/instructions relating to their competition.

Every person involved in the Dunstan and Fiber Fresh Young Rider Camp is encouraged to play a vital and responsible role in maintaining H & S throughout the event by:

  • Following correct procedures
  • Safe & proper use of equipment
  • Wearing protective clothing and equipment as and when required
  • Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported
  • Help visitors & spectators to understand the safety procedures and why necessary
  • Informing the office immediately of any health and safety concerns.
